While some are calling for Coach Williams-Jeter to be fired, for several reasons, that's not going to happen- at least not in the immediate future. Although in many ways she has earned much of the criticism being thrown at her. She has yet to prove she can recruit impactful payers whether they be from high school or the portal. As of this date five new players will join the program for the 24/25 season; three from high schools and two transfers. The high schoolers are obviously unknown talents but do have good credentials, One of the transfers was the 6th player on the Ivy league champs, and has one season remaining. The other is from Boston College where due to injury, she missed her first year, and should have four seasons remaining. Most of the returnees have yet to prove anything other than they know how to turn it over. One of the returning players, Eve Fiala, is a good example of the uncertainty that surrounds this program. Eve from Pa. was hyped as a 6.6 recruit that had offers from many schools in power 5 conferences. However, when she arrived on Dayton's campus, she was referred to as a project, and unfortunately played that way. As usual, time will tell for this staff, but time could be running out.
