I would like to suggest that those of us who had intentions of going to tournament games or who got stuck in New York like we did, Take our budgeted but unused funds and donate them to one of the below listed funds for athletes and students.
We are all disappointed in not riding along with these athletes to the end of their journey whether basketball, Golf, Baseball etc.. But we all recognize that this is much more disheartening and cruel for the athletes than it ever will be for us, as Alumni, Supporters and Fans!
There is also the unforeseen & unimaginable financial impact on some of these athletes & students that they were and are not prepared for. These Students truly need our support and help Today!

James G. and Purcell S. Palmer Men’s Basketball Endowment
This fund provides resources for scholarship support (with preference for a men's basketball player), summer school support for players enrolled in the summer prior to their first academic semester, and mentorship and life skills instruction to assure academic achievement and successful adjustment during college and post-basketball pursuits.
