This game will all come down to rebounding. Cheeks, Key, Frenchie and Santos are all going to have to stick their ass out and go into beast mode. Its our only chance.
I hope the team comes out and play the whole 40 minutes and not just the second half
These are really challenging games where you're playing in an odd place. First game of the tourney, against a team that has already played a game and familiarized themselves with the court. There's a tendency to play tight in these scenarios.
St. Joes has lots of talent and athleticism. Dayton is gonna have to play grown man ball today, and do so immediately. They do not have the luxury of coming out slow or feeling this out. I would really like the team to approach this as if there's 5 minutes left in the game from the moment of tip off. We need maximum effort and toughness right from the get go. Be strong with the ball. Be strong on the boards. Make those turns up stream toward the hoop. Take the floaters or dish to the big men. Don't keep getting stuffed at the rim.

One aspect that could become a factor is the 2 5th year seniors. It is their their last chance to dance and look for full effort from them.
