Recruiting Memories from yesteryear

I know it's a different world, but the recruiting is light years ahead of where it was from the early days of this board. Here are a few I remember.

OP gives a ship to this kid named Chris ? Who was a fringe D1 player at best, supposedly because he took his daughter to the prom. He never played for UD because he was busted for shoplifting at the bookstore.

Remember Adam Popp, a mediocre big man from Iowa who I think had committed to UD. Then Keady and Purdue swept in and signed him. This board was infuriated. I don't believe he saw minutes at Purdue.

And how about Stan King? OP got one very good recruit out of Denver with DJ Stelly. They went back to the Mile High State again, but King's career went up in smoke in the first 2 weeks on campus.

If you remember these days, you realize just how far we have come and appreciate this staff and their accomplishments. Maybe you can recall a few other stories.
