I'm posting the entire article on here, that's the only way I can keep this to only Dayton subscribers and not everyone on the Rivals.com network. Please keep on here for now...

GUARD GETTING CLOSE

Matthew Schwade

The Dayton Flyers are searching for some help in the backcourt and one guard may be getting close to making a decision.

Kobe Elvis is a 6-2, 170-pound guard that is transferring from DePaul. He is originally from Brampton, Ontario in Canada and just completed his freshman season for the Blue Demons.

In 2020-2021 season, he averaged 6.3 points, 1.9 assists, and 1.6 rebounds. He shot 41.9% from three-point range and 42.3% from the floor.

Since he announced his transfer at the end of March, he reportedly has been offered by Boston College, California, Clemson, Colorado State, Dayton, Drake, Grand Canyon, among others.

Yesterday, the well-oiled machine known as Dayton Men’s Basketball twitter put out what appears to be a targeted recruiting tweet.

This comes after they tweeted about Jordan Sibert’s 13.1 points per game increase from his time at Ohio State to his senior season after transferring to Dayton.

According to a source, Kobe Elvis could be nearing a decision and the Dayton Flyers are right there at the top of his list.

Anthony Solomon was handling his recruitment from Dayton, but head coach Anthony Grant has since taken it over.

Because of the free COVID year, Elvis could have four years of eligibility remaining.

We’ll continue to follow Kobe Elvis as well as other top 2021 targets. Stay tuned to FlyerHoops, the best in Dayton basketball coverage.
