The Dayton Women's team plays Rhode Island Saturday afternoon at 2:00pm. This is obviously an extremely important game as it is literally for the regular season Conference Championship. While the Flyers have had difficulty scoring in recent games, the defense has been remarkably good, and has Dayton at 22-4 overall, and 13-1 in the A10. In a game nine days ago at Rhode Island, the Flyers prevailed 47-37 when the Rams played without their second leading scorer and top rebounder .Dez Elmore has now returned to the lineup, and should be an added challenge.. When Dayton played at Rhode Island the Ram fans turned out the largest crowd for a women's game there in many years. I hope a multitude of local Dayton fans will show up to support these Women as they attempt to win their third consecutive regular season championship.
