Top 144 has begun with Illinois at 143 and Wright St. at 141. Last year we were 53 and had a pretty bad year so do we get a benefit of the doubt and make the list or not? Can't see us in the top 100 this year which is a huge step back from where we've been the last few years.I personally find it sad that we're in July and have two scholarships still with no takers. Are there really no decent players that we can convince to play at Dayton? Are we even looking or has the staff just shut it down and will try and have some kind of halfway decent year with nine scholarship players? Unfortunately I see at least five or six A Ten teams that look better than us at the moment Could guys like Obi and Cohill really light things up and the returning players improve greatly? It's possible I guess but I'm skeptical until I actually see it happen. I've really tried to give A.G. some leeway but the fact that he and the staff which has lost a member already can't fill a 13 man roster gives me pause as to what's going on.I'd feel more confident if somehow two new players come on board in the next few days or weeks. Is it too late? No as there are still players out there that haven't signed yet. If we go in with only nine players better hope that there are no injuries or constant foul problems as we'll be understaffed pretty much every game.
