Good Morning,
Sitting at the Columbus Airport getting ready to fly out with my wife to her magical place, Disney World, for the week. We are celebrating our 15th wedding anniversary this week! Hard to believe that it was 15 years ago I was sitting on the runway getting ready to take off for Mexico with my new bride while she had the patience and understanding as I wrote an article about Rob Lowery committing to Brian Gregory’s Flyers. Maybe it was a good thing to set that precedent because she learned how important and passionate I was about covering the Dayton program. I appreciate her patience with me for the last 15 years as she’s seen me drop what I’m doing and heard me say “Dayton just got a commitment, I need to write” or “Sorry, I need to write a War Room.”
We left the kids at home this week while their Mimi watches them. If there’s anything breaking, I’ll try to post about it. I haven’t seen anything official, but hopefully no news is good news with Deuce. I’ve been told news should be coming out this week about the new assistant coach and there may be some shifting of titles/responsibilities within the coaching staff. I would expect an experienced hire here as there’s pressure on AG to win and make the tournament next year, especially if Deuce does return. I’ll let you know if I get any other info to pass along.
