Blakney has seen plenty of love in the MS St game thread, but take a quick minute to think about what he actually did on Saturday. He played 29 minutes, eating up the time that the current roster doesn't have time to consume. Sissoko played less than 10, so the roster was about 6.5 deep. Blakney was +5, had pedestrian numbers of 3 boards, 3 insanely critical points and 4PF's. Those fouls to give along with those 29 minutes are why I think he was the key component of the win. Hope the roster fills out a bit as discussed with Amzil, Weaver and Brea, but Blakney is earning his now.
