On the Anthony Grant Show Larry had a great interview with former Flyer player Layton Moulton who is quite a man. He talked about the backcourt of Johnny Davis and Donald Smith. How good was that tandem? I saw Davis play in the league, but what kind of player was Donald Smith and where was he from?
Layton also talked about the players who came to UD from Detroit. He named himself, Johnny Davis, Erv Giddings. I know later there was Ryan Perryman, Paul Williams and Darrell Davis. Any thoughts or recollections of Layton Moulton or the Motor City pipeline to Dayton? I guess assistant Jack Butler was integral to the latter connection.
