I woke up to the following Facebook post from my sister:
"Stunned and saddened to learn that we have lost legendary Southfield High School drama teacher Brenda Perryman to COVID-19. My fellow Dayton alums will know “Ms. P” better as the mother of Ryan Perryman, who is still a UD basketball legend to this day. For the last 5 years, Brenda has written me lovely messages on the anniversary of my dad’s passing to tell me how much she admired him and how grateful she was that he counselled her to send Ryan to Dayton."
