Watching some of these teams with the script jerseys got me thinking. A lot of us would like some new, fun uniforms. I think it would be cool to have something sublimated (not sure that’s the right word?) like SLU has with the arch. Perhaps the chapel patterned into the jersey? A fighter jet? Something like that.
But a separate question is if we should adopt an alternate script jersey. The Chapel blue uniforms were very well done, I thought. I actually can’t decide if the script jerseys are cool or if it’s too late and we’ve missed the window to break out our own version.
Some of the jerseys I don’t really like. Charleston’s “the College” is kinda dumb. The “the” is way too small and it really doesn’t tell you who the school/team is. I get they are trying to be unique but they aren’t the only college (as opposed to university) - Boston College for example, and their color schemes are similar as well.
Anyway, assuming we were to go for a script uniform, should it say “Dayton” or “Flyers” or other? Or don’t do it at all?
I think I’m voting Flyers.
Just a fun offseason topic, not as nerve wracking as some.
Thoughts? Anyone know if more alternate jerseys are on the horizon?
