Well three weeks of summer tournaments have concluded, and I come away with a few questions/thoughts.
Where were the Ohio HS seniors to be? I did not read their names much on the Internet. If they played, their performance were below the radar.
The Ohio juniors however were seen and taken note of.
While any names we are talking about are a season away from wearing a Flyer uniform, now is the time to get interest in how this year's squad performs in Spain. Probably will not get a full showing due to variety of reasons. But I am interested to see how this group decided to show their stuff in these early exhibitions.
Deandre Bembry. He killed the Flyers as a St Joe's player. And his draft selection is putting St Joe's on the map with some recruits - some of which might be looking at Dayton as well.
And yes, back to this recruiting class. Dayton needs to replace Charles C, Scoohie, Kyle, and Kendall. Archie needs to layer in another four recruits to fill the squad. Getting four takes some efforts, so hopefully a verbal or two can give added focus to the remaining slots.
As to the Spain trip, interesting to see last year's freshmen have developed as they will be asked to replace those four as well sooner than this next set of recruits.
