If you strongly feel (as most of us seem to feel) that UD has erred on this subject, I urge you to demonstrate your anger and disappointment (that UD has crossed the fairness line and needs to re-evaluate their policies and procedures) and clearly communicate your objections through your donations (either a reduction or elimination of donations).
If they feel that they have erred, they need to pay for their mistakes and pay ($) their dues. Honorable people pay for their mistakes, learn from it and then move on to higher plane.
