After ten games I looked at where some of our stats fit in the national averages. Our best stat is field goal % at 40th in the country. Others are downright terrible. PPG we're 246, free throw % 252, 3 point % 218, rebounding 251.We also only average 11 made free throws a game. Those are not numbers this program should be having. Those are out of 351 teams. It's no wonder we're only 5-5.Is this a product of playing a top twenty schedule? Could be, as against the weaker teams on the schedule we have very good offensive numbers. With a bad A Ten we could still win a lot of games if the defense stays strong, though against a not great Tulsa team we allowed way too many easy baskets and three point shots. There's no team in this conference that we can't beat but there will be so many close games that I couldn't begin to guess how many we can pull out especially on the road. Now that we're not facing top twenty five teams every game we'll see if our stats actually improve. Hopefully they do.
