Josh Cunningham's recovery is the my high point for this season. The video of his injury was brutal. When I watched him hobble around the last few games last season, I had doubts about his future. Hats off to Josh for the hard work and a big thank you to the trainers, medical staff, coaches, and teammates who aided with his recovery. I am so happy for Josh. It is a joy to watch him do his thing on the basketball court this season.

The most challenging aspect is the same as last season and won't change next season. I caught myself complaining about defense/rebounding and asked myself "What if?" What if Steve McElvene were manning the middle for the Flyers this season? From a basketball perspective, I have no doubt that defense/rebounding would be instantly transformed into the strengths of this team. From a human perspective, there would be more smiles on more people. I will never understand why people so capable of bringing happiness into the lives of others are taken from us at a young age.
