The 247 magazine came out with their top 100 recruiting for this year. To show how hard it is to get a 5 star player, out of 350 schools recruiting there were only 16 teams that were able to get even one recruit ranked that high with Duke grabbing four of them.Dayton came in at 79 with two recruits one 4 star and one 3 star. Two A Ten schools ranked ahead pf us, Rhodie at 47 and St. Louis at 55. VCU was in the 80's. Strange that Vandy was able to get two 5 star recruits and Western Ky. got one to be ranked 27.Think we weren't ranked very high because we only had two recruits as most teams had three, four or even five players coming in. As you can see there aren'tt that many 4-5 star recruits out there. We did get one with Cohill but with most of those players going to the P 5 schools it's a tough road to go even getting any of them to even visit. I saw USC hired an assistant coach who has two 5 star recruits as sons and other schools have done that as well. Can't see Anthony hiring an assistant just to try and get his son or a player that the guy may have coached in high school. Nothing wrong with shooting for the fences but reality is we couldn't convince even a couple of three star recruits to come fill this years two open scholarships so the odds of four and five star players coming seems slim at best.
