first chance to see the flyers last night and was extremely impressed by their
defensive intensity inside and outside and their physicality.
Most impressive to me was Ryan Mikesell who always had offensive skills but seemed to play soft and in slow motion. Last night, he was a force on offense inside and outside and he defended
very well and hustled and was very physical around the basket on offense and defense.
The entire team looks quicker, stronger and more focused.
i also thought we had the best athletes by far and were well coached with he ball ,movement, spacing and ability to score from outside and in the low post.
i really like Matos and josh looked like a very improved player on offense and defense.
Crutcher can score and is pretty quick and Obi is long and athletic.
My only concern was having Landers bring the ball in against full court pressure since the ball will come back to him if the double team traps the player receiving the inbounds pass.
Landers played very well except for the turnovers against pressure.
We have to have a better option in those situations which teams will try to exploit.
all in all, a very athletic, well coached team that played extremely hard and very physical against a team that is revered for those same traits.
Enjoyed the chance to text my butler friends here in Indy with a few jabs along with best wishes at thanksgiving.
GoFlyers!
