It was a pleasure to watch the flyers last night playing short handed on the road .
SS, KD and KP played like true vets and the sophomores made huge contributions as their
development progresses exponentially.
We came out with intense defense and moved the ball on offense quickly , penetrated, dished and made shots. we had sophomores post up and drive to the basket ( mikesell) , rebound and protect the rim (X), get in good position and use their lower body to block out and rebound (X., Mikesell , Miller) and
blend in with the vets who all played tough as nails in all aspects of the game. Miller played with much more enthusiasm and got some boards and loose balls and played some defense.
KD is a beast on defense and plays hard all the time. SS is just a tough, smart team player and KP is
a beast who is now making 3 pointers ???
The improved shooting form on X's shot is amazing and Mikesell (like RD always said) may be the most skilled player on this team.His development is off the charts.
I thought Crosby came in and gave SS some rest and played well when he got the chance.
He's an athlete and he plays hard.
Got to give Archie tons of credit but this is a team that found the style they need last night .
Obviously, we aren't going to shoot that percentage from the arc very often but we showed last night that we are capable of playing some very good basketball and i was thrilled with the effort and performance.
