Article I read today discusses the ramifications of the NCAA passing the one time transfer rule up for a vote in April. It will allow any college athlete to transfer one time without sitting out a year. It's something that will heavily favor the big schools as they'll come and poach all the mid major schools. Dayton was specifically mentioned as many P5 teams would come after a player like Jalen not that he'd leave a top 5 school but not having to sit a year will cause many players to think about moving on.

Another factor in all this is the major conferences going to 20 conference games eliminating dozens of OOC that the non P5 leagues don't have access to. Big Ten officials have publicly said their goal is to eliminate the mid majors from the NCAA tournament. With most bracketology experts giving 10-11 even 12 bids this year to the Big Ten they're well on their way.

Ohio St. who looks horrible and has a losing conference record is somehow safely in and a school like Rhodie or Richmond will struggle to get in.

I hate to think what happens to schools like Dayton and other non P5 schools if that rules is passed. The number of quality mid major players transferring will be deadly to those programs.
