NCAA released their attendance numbers for the past year. Dayton moved up a couple of spots to 22nd even though average attendance dropped to around 12,900+.Top five in the A Ten, Dayton 12,900 VCU 7600 St. Louis 6800 Rhode Island and Richmond 5700.
The league had 7 teams under 4,000 including 5 under 3,000.Was surprised Davidson was under 5,000 a game. Thought their arena was bigger than that.I think the figures show how mid major this conference is. Even with Dayton's almost 13,000 a game the A Ten averaged less than 5,000 a game. Pretty pathetic compared to the top 6-7 conferences.
With all the renovations finished and a possible top 25 team this year attendance should jump up even though there's not a lot of room to move
