NCAA put out their attendance figures for last season. Dayton came in at 23 averaging just a hair under 13,000. The A Ten was 9th averaging about 4600, one spot behind the AAC who was around 5500. Really a lot of horrible numbers for the schools in our league with three or four of them below 2,000 a game and others less than 4,000. I can see why top recruits don't want to play in this league. A huge number of programs seem more like division two or even three with facilities and fan support. What's really galling is how poor Dayton has played at some of these bandbox gyms over the years. Good of a coach as Archie was he had an 0-12 record on the road against G.W St. Joes Lasalle and UMass hardly hostile environments.Anthony didn't get off to a good start either losing eight out of nine.Really hard to figure why we struggle against so many weak sisters in this conference especially in our really good years record wise. It would behoove A.G. to start winning at these mediocre venues if he wants successful seasons down the road. starting with this year.
