I ran into and chatted with one of the all-time greats in the history of Chicago basketball, Mark Aguirre. What a kind and humble gentlemen he is, and what a tremendous player he was. Mark was the national college player of the year at DePaul, and went on to score over 18,000 points in the NBA.
We talked a little bit about Dayton, and he said they didn’t really like to play at UD Arena at all. Times have changed, and the Flyer program is paving its way forward, but it’s kind of a shame we don’t play DePaul anymore.
