Since it is fun to speculate, and we may not know anything for a bit, I thought I'd throw this question out there.

Obviously there is a bunch of assuming, and things may well not go down in this order, but let's assume we get a freshman PG, class of 2017, and a guy who can play right away: grad transfer or JuCo point guard.

What kind of player do we get with the final open scholarship? This question is really a hybrid of what you think will happen/what you want to happen/what you would do.

I think it obviously depends on who wants to be here, who is ready/willing to commit, etc., but my choice would be a traditional transfer... guy could sit out a year, maybe balance out the classes some. A grad transfer would balance things out more, but they can be a little risky in terms of chemistry and whatnot.

So in my ideal world, we land Crutcher, a grad transfer PG, and maybe a transfer like Hughes. I don't know enough to say if we would take Toppin at this point; he would seem to have tools and skills that would be useful, and you can always use 6'9" guys with skill.

Thoughts?
