Never too early to look ahead when you're playing this many young guys and you're in a "development year". I think we have a chance to be pretty good next year. Will be hard to replace DD's scoring, but we'll be getting back Mikesell and all of the freshmen will have gained a ton of valuable playing experience. We also add Obi Toppin, who is rumored to have been arguably the most impressive freshman in practice. Then, of course, we add a top 100 recruit to the fold. Here is what we'll have:

Jalen Crutcher So.
John Crosby Sr.
Jordan Davis So.
Dwayne Cohill Fr.
Trey Landers Jr.
Matej Svoboda So.
Ryan Mikesell RSJr.
Xeyrius Williams Sr.
Obadiah Toppin RSFr.
Kostas Antetokounmpo RSSo.
Josh Cunningham RSSr.
Jordan Pierce So.
2018 Recruit/Transfer ??

Am I wrong to think we could start thinking at large bid again as early as next year? Would we be better suited to be aggressive in trying to get a grad transfer scoring threat if we aren't able to land a high level 2018 high school recruit? I'm excited about watching this team grow and I'm excited about the future of Dayton Flyer basketball as Grant begins to bring his recruits in to the fold.
