Seth Greenburg recorded this right after the Matta annoucement with Dan Dakich. Both of those guys would love to be coaching again (another editorial comment).
I came away with several points.
1) Matta's staff like Groce's staff let the head coach down. Staff apathy. I have to think Anthony Grant's staff is in the right direction.
2) The whole landscape of Ohio basketball and how Dayton and Xavier are going in the right direction versus OSU.
3) Archie. They didn't think Arch had a chance at that job. Interesting picks by them - Mike Brey or Mick Cronin. But program/facilities needs improvements.
The Matta firing will have a domino effect. Some school might lose their HC. And who does the new OSU head coach pick as assistants? Dominos will fall.
Second podcast is the Blackburn Review and their interview with Jablo. Yes, the Blackburn Review. Those boys must be on their medications because that podcast was even keel, main stream.
A lot of random stuff. Grant looking to get the full squad in place for second semester. Jablo's opinion on the new staff. He thinks that might be a better staff than Archie's.
In both, no specific Dayton headlines. But good overall about Dayton basketball and the Ohio landscape.
