This is a bit off-topic, but has some relevancy to men’s hoops.
UD designated today as its day of giving, encouraging alumni, fans, and supporters of the university to make a monetary gift to the school today. They set a goal of getting 1,850 donors or more, and actually have already surpassed that! Several generous donors made matching donations and it’s a way to support the school, the Champions & Scholars program as well as increase alumni engagement.
If you’re so inclined, today is a good day to make a donation to UD - literally any dollar amount helps. Donations are tracked, percent of alumni who donate (arguably more than the total dollars) are tracked and compared to other schools. Obviously, we all want UD and its athletic department to be the best it can be. This is a small way to show other peer institutions that UD can compete with anyone when it comes to alumni and supporter engagement. In other words, donating to UD (today or any day) incrementally improves our chances of getting in the Big East.
Here’s a tweet from UD with the link:
They have made today a big deal with a bunch of events, had a 5K this AM, and several athletes involved in promoting it. Obi, Dwayne, Ryan, and Trey are in these IG stories: https://www.instagram.com/stories/daytonflyers/

Anyway, I never like telling anyone what to do with their hard-earned money. But if you were thinking about it, today is a good day to throw a couple dollars to UD.
